
The project
The FUTURE Fostering sustainable tourism new Employees project is an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ KA210-VET programme, designed to promote environmental sustainability in the tourism sector. Launched on 1 September 2023 and with a duration of 20 months, the project aims to develop green skills between teachers and students, facilitating the transition to sustainable and low-carbon business models.
Objectives of the project
The FUTURE project aims to:
- Promote green skills: Train teachers and students on sustainable practices in tourism, such as energy saving, reducing waste and using local products.
- Social inclusion: Involve participants with fewer opportunities to reduce social exclusion and offer new career prospects.
- Improve soft skills: Enhance the design and management skills of complex projects, increasing the European dimension of the participating organisations.
Main activity
The project activities include:
- Training courses in sustainable tourism: For teachers and students, with a focus on ecological practices and sustainable management.
- Workshops and seminars: Events to promote environmental awareness and sustainability in the tourism sector.
- Dissemination and communication: Strategies to raise public awareness and involve stakeholders and local communities.

Deliverables
Through the FUTURE project, we expect to:
- Develop green skills in the tourism industry.
- Reduce the environmental impact of tourism activities.
- Promote social inclusion and create new career opportunities for young people.
